Silicone bands are very grippy. When that full water bottle is stuck to your hand as you raise it to drink, you'll know that your not going to drop it. An effective arrangement of four or five Grippy-Bands™ will allow one handed drinking, even with 32oz. and larger bottles.
One could make the case that a smooth powder coated stainless steel bottle should have a grip on it. This sometimes cold surface can be slippery, especially if your hands are dry. Nevertheless there are almost no producers of these insulated vacuum bottles that build the grip into the bottle itself.
